Wild Splendor 2017 Recap - Columbia Land Trust
Our annual fall gala launched our Conservation Agenda, a 25-year framework for the future of our Northwest lands, waters, and wildlife.

Columbia Land Trust and more than 300 supporters celebrated Northwest nature at this year’s annual gala and fundraising event, Wild Splendor. Attendees rallied together raising more than $295,000 in support of the wild places we all hold dear.

Our event also announced the launch of our Conservation Agenda, a bold 25-year framework to conserve and restore our region’s threatened natural places in a campaign we call Fearless Conservation. We premiered our new film, One River | Five Voices, which highlights five people living and working across the varied landscapes of the Columbia River. Though their methods vary, each person is taking action to conserve the nature of the region, fearlessly.

We would like to extend a special thank you to presenting sponsor, Waste Connections for its incredible support. Thank you to our featured guest speakers Laura Guderyahn, natural resource ecologist for the City of Portland, and Hannah Clark, executive director of the Washington Association of Land Trusts. And finally thank you to our many volunteers, staff, Board of Directors, and Emerging Leaders Council who all make our work possible.

If you were unable to attend Wild Splendor but would like to get involved with the Fearless Conservation campaign, visit our website to learn more, and tag #FearlessNature to the people, places, and wildlife that inspire you to be bold.
