Good news for the Hood River and all of its neighbors! The Jubitz Foundation is awarding Columbia Land Trust $10,000 to improve the shoreline of the lower Hood River. The demolition of the old Powerdale Dam left a barren, weedy riverbank, but this grant will help us transform that very site into a forest of the future.  We’ll be using the money to remove invasive weeds along the shore and to replant native trees and shrubs that will make this classic Cascade river better for fish and wildlife. This really is change for the better! Thank you to our longtime supporters, the Jubitz Foundation: We couldn’t do this work without you!
