Share your vision for the future of the Northwest this Giving Tuesday

Leaves are falling, mornings are damp and foggy, and the season of giving thanks is upon us. Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving designed as a follow up to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, is taking place on November 27th this year. Here at Columbia Land Trust, Giving Tuesday has grown into a wholehearted celebration of the lands, waters, and wildlife, that we’re able to conserve and care for thanks to the generous support of passionate people like you.

This fall marks the second year of Columbia Land Trust’s Fearless Conservation campaign, a once-in-a-generation effort to launch our 25-year Conservation Agenda. This bold agenda outlines what we will do over the next four years, and the next quarter-century, to protect and restore lands and waters throughout the region, from the coast to the high desert and everywhere in between.

To rise to the daunting environmental challenges of our day, we know the conservation movement needs new ideas, new partnerships, and more people coming together. That’s why we want you to share your vision for a thriving Northwest. What do you want to see here 25 years from now?

We posed the question to wildlife documentarian and Columbia Land Trust volunteer Gabe Olson, and he responded in a letter to his new son, Rorrick:

“I envision the community where you were raised becoming one of healthy, balanced ecosystems and relationships. I want you to have an impact. I want you to learn. Waters will flow freely and wildflowers will bloom without hesitation. All of this will be in part because of conservation efforts by humans like you, your mother, and me.”

How about you? What is your vision for the future of the Northwest? Submit your answer using the link below.
