Extreme Fire Danger – September 2022
UPDATE: As of Monday, September 12th, fire danger has decreased and Land Trust sites west of the Cascades have re-opened. UPDATE: as of September 19th, The Klickitat Haul Road is now open.Â
Effective immediately, due to extreme fire danger, Columbia Land Trust’s forest properties in Western Oregon and Washington (West of the Cascade Mountains) are CLOSED through at least Saturday, September 10th while a National Weather Service Red Flag Warning is in effect. Closures may extend if conditions do not improve, so please check our website and social media channels before planning a visit. We will post updates on this page.
This is in addition to the current closure of the Klickitat River Haul Road. If you are heading into nature anywhere in the region this weekend, please take extra precautions to help reduce the risk of wildfire.
