While Columbia Land Trust works to restore sweeping landscapes and wildlife habitat outside of the city, thousands of urban dwellers enrolled in the Backyard Habitat Certification Program are working to restore their properties to native landscapes that benefit both people and wildlife. Join us at Hopworks Urban Brewery for tasty brews and snacks before touring three of Portland’s outstanding backyard habitats.
Backyard Habitat Certification Program Manager Susie Peterson and Land Trust Board of Directors member Janet Gifford will introduce us to the people and the gardens contributing to a healthier and more vibrant city. From yards that manage storm water, impressive native plants installations to productive pollinator spaces there is something to learn for gardeners and nature enthusiasts of all levels. Book your tickets now, this tour will sell out fast.
