Volunteer Action Team - Columbia Land Trust

Like a little grit beneath your fingernails? Or how about spending an afternoon working alongside staff in one of our regional offices? Then you’re invited to join our volunteer Action Team. Action Team members receive emails featuring opportunities to participate in Columbia Land Trust office-based and hands-on field projects. Field projects have included burning slash piles in Mosier, building fences in Cathlamet, planting willow cuttings on the Grays River, and helping customers select native plants at the Backyard Habitat Plant Sale. Office-based projects have included creating centerpieces for Wild Splendor, supporting fundraising mailings, and assembling information packets for new Backyard Habitat participants.

Opportunities usually fall on weekdays and are often shared a week or two in advance.  No commitment is required to join projects, as they occur on an “on-call” basis.

To join the Action Team, complete the sign-up for below and be sure to select the Volunteer Opportunities box. Members of our staff will email you as volunteer events and opportunities arise. If you have any questions or would like to inquire about specific opportunities, email us at volunteer@columbialandtrust.org.
