Rosemont Road Pathway Update – November 5th

Update on the construction of Rosemont Trail as of November 5th, 2012.

Rosemont Road Pathway Update – November 5th

Portion of Rosemont Trail pending completion in the spring.

Fall has arrived—along with the rain that was absent for so many sunny summer days.  And although the precipitation was welcome on many fronts, it had an impact on the Rosemont Trail construction.  Just as the paving was scheduled to begin, the first of the rains set in, saturating the ground to point that it became too soft.  Therefore, the final base rock and paving to finish the trail is scheduled for next spring when the ground dries out.

The Land Trust will be working with the Contractor and County to winterize the project.  To maintain the integrity of the trail, it will be closed until paving is complete.

Thanks to all who have provided their support for the Rosemont Road Pathway Project!  We certainly couldn’t do it without you.

Donations are still being accepted to complete the funding for this project--$50,000 needed.  Please click here to add your support.

Some project funding has been provided by the purchase of bricks which will be placed near the Stafford Basin Path kiosk.  You too can be a lasting part of the trail with the purchase of an inscribed brick.  Brick orders are being accepted through December 31, 2012.  Click here for a brick order form.
