Mid Columbia River
Projects Tour

The Columbia Land Trust seeks to protect lands throughout the Vancouver-Portland metropolitan area working cooperatively with a wide variety of landowners. The mid river region includes properties ranging from one-third acre river front property within the Vancouver city limits to a 350 acre working forest in Oregon. 

West Fork Washougal River 

A family is donating a conservation easement on 320 acres of pristine forest and prime habitat for threatened and endangered species including northern spotted owl, steelhead and cutthroat trout, and several species of amphibians.

Cape Horn Trail

Columbia Land Trust raised funds to acquire this 12-acre link for the proposed Cape Horn Trail, a part of the vision for a 45-mile Columbia Gorge trail from Washougal to Stevenson.

Kalama River

Columbia Land Trust is actively pursuing conservation opportunities in the Kalama River watershed. The land trust has completed two of conservation easements conserving almost 25 acres along the Kalama River, a land donation totally 17 acres, and is working to conserve additional land along the 'Holy Waters' - a legendary fishing hole.
