Just outside of Cathlamet, Washington, the Elochoman River is critical to endangered Columbia white-tailed deer and threatened salmon species. Columbia Land Trust has conserved 514 acres of Elochoman and Columbia River floodplain, building on the adjacent 5,600-acre Julia Butler Hansen Refuge for Columbia White-tailed Deer.
