Do you have an IRA and are you 70½ or older? New IRA rules recently passed by Congress as part of the Pension Act of 2006 allow IRA owners over the age of 70½ to make tax-free distributions from an IRA to a qualifying charity, up to $100,000 per tax payer per year! This rule is effective now and is set to expire at the end of 2007.
